Brandy Davis possessed enough fentanyl to kill nearly 30,000 people

MARION, OH – Marion County Prosecuting Attorney Ray Grogan announced today that a Marion jury on Wednesday found Brandy Davis guilty of Trafficking in Fentanyl and Possession of Fentanyl, both felonies of the first degree. Davis faces a maximum possible sentence of 11 - 16 ½ years in prison when sentenced.

“I will reiterate this once again, if you push this poison in our community, you are going down,” said Ray Grogan, Marion County Prosecutor. “Fentanyl is the most dangerous and deadly we drug we have ever encountered, and this was a true team effort to bring Davis down,” Grogan said.

On January 31, 2022 members of the MARMET Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 405 Mound Street in Marion. While there, officers collected nearly 60 grams of fentanyl. Davis admitted to the police that she had delivered fentanyl to the house for safe keeping. Davis also knew how many packages there were and the weight of at least one of the packages.

“This case, once again, demonstrates the great cooperation between the Marion County Sheriff's Office Marion,OH, the Marion, Ohio Police Department and the Prosecutor’s Office," said Grogan. “The members of the MARMET Drug Task Force do all they can day and night to keep these drugs off of our streets. I want to specifically commend Assistant Prosecutor John Scott for his handling of this case.”

Davis will be sentenced by Judge Warren T. Edwards at a later date.
