City of Marion issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.
Mayor Scott Schertzer is announcing that many City of Marion departments will be closed on Monday, February 21, 2022 in observance of the Presidents Day holiday. However, there are city departments that will be operating on a normal schedule. Following is information regarding office and departmental schedules for Monday, February 21, 2022:
- All offices in Marion City Hall will be closed.
- Sanitation crews will collect garbage and recycling on Monday, February 21. Residents with Monday sanitation collection are asked to have their trash and recycling at curbside by 7:00 a.m.
- Marion Senior Center will be closed on Monday, February 21. No senior transportation will be available that day with the exception of dialysis appointments.
- Marion Area Transit will be observing normal hours of operation on Monday, February 21.
Essential services including fire, police, and airport will operate as usual.
