Caregiver Alliance – A collaboration of diverse healthcare, social service and legal professionals to provide support, education and resources for employers and their caregiving workforce

DESCRIPTION:

Working caregivers makes up 1 in 6 Americans working and caring for an elderly or disabled family member, relative or friend. 70% of working caregivers suffer work-related difficulties due to their dual roles. Caregiving has shown to reduce employee work productivity by 18.8% and increase the likelihood of employees leaving the workplace.  Best practices for employers is providing education and training for supervisors and offering support, resources and referral services for working caregivers.
