Marion County OH Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches and ice accumulations of around a tenth of an inch possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Central and West Central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 1 PM Wednesday to 7 AM EST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills will likely fall to near or below zero degrees Friday and Friday night.
* AFFECTED AREAS: HARDIN ... MERCER ... AUGLAIZE ... DARKE ... SHELBY ... LOGAN ... UNION
